She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 834

He formally surrendered to Loyce and confessed the real reason Lucian had been kidnapped.

"Horace has always been obsessed with Lucian," Harding admitted. "He sees him as his savior. Horace wants Lucian to marry his daughter to expand Stellar Trust's global empire. He didn't just want Lucian's tactical mind—he wanted his genetics."

Heath let out a heavy sigh. "They want Lucian to marry the Princess of Stellar Trust, Sigrid."

Forrest narrowed his eyes. "The same woman who abandoned him on that island and cost him his leg?"

"I don't get it either," Heath muttered. "A man with Lucian's pride would never marry a woman he doesn't love just for power."

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Right now, we have the Harding problem," Morris said, turning to Loyce with a gentle look. "Are you going to let him go?"

"Let him go," Loyce replied coldly. "Let's see how long modern medicine can keep him breathing."

"And what about Lucian?" Forrest asked.

Hank’s eyes burned with violent intent. "We gear up. We take a tactical team, blow a hole in their compound with a missile, kill everyone in our way, and drag him out!"

"That's cartel logic," Morris said, clapping a hand on Hank's shoulder. "There's a reason Stellar Trust is number one in the world. Their defense grids are probably tighter than our national security framework. By the time we hack their outer doors, they'd have a dozen countermeasures ready. And if we try a frontal assault? Their security forces aren't rent-a-cops. We'd take massive casualties."

Forrest nodded in agreement. "Stellar Trust knew exactly who they were messing with when they took him. They are prepared for our wrath. If we rush in blind, we lose."

The room fell into a heavy silence. It was a seemingly impenetrable fortress. How were they supposed to crack it?

Just as they were hitting a wall, Loyce spoke up. "We don't do anything."

Hank stared at her. "You're just giving up on him?"

"I believe that once he realizes his situation, he will create an opening for us," Loyce said, her voice laced with absolute conviction. "He'll figure something out. All we have to do right now is wait."
