Sorry for Your Loss It's Me I'm the Loss novel Chapter 916

The two men exchanged a few more casual words before heading to their respective rooms.

Bennett still smelled faintly of tobacco. After returning to his room, he went to the bathroom to wash up before entering the bedroom.

Yvonne was already sound asleep.

Moving quietly, Bennett lifted a corner of the covers and lay down beside her.

Yvonne must have sensed him, as she subconsciously turned over and naturally nestled into his arms, finding the most comfortable position before continuing to sleep.

Bennett held her gently, his hand softly stroking her forehead and cheeks, then her slightly rounded belly.

Yvonne slept well through the night and woke up reasonably early the next day.

Bennett accompanied her to the restaurant for breakfast, and then they went out for a walk.

The island's scenery and climate were both excellent. It was a bit overcast today, which was actually more comfortable without the scorching sun.

Yvonne had already played in the sand and collected shells at the beach yesterday, so today was just for a casual stroll.

This private island hadn't been fully developed yet. Only a portion was complete, with construction and development still ongoing.

The island was vast, and using it all for private purposes was somewhat wasteful. Therefore, the currently developed part was only open to internal guests. The section now under construction was intended for tourism, projected to be officially completed and opened to the public in three years.

Bennett showed Yvonne a map of the entire island. The area they were in was less than a third of the whole. To the east, a large aquarium and an underwater hotel were being built.

“Interested?” Bennett asked Yvonne.

Yvonne, being a grown woman, was long past the age of being excited about aquariums. She simply replied, “The baby will probably like it.”

“Mm,” Bennett said, his gaze dropping to her belly, his eyes and smile filled with extreme tenderness.
