Chapter 219 A Sparkling Proposal
“Isabelle! Over here!” A familiar voice called out.
She turned toward the sound. It was April and Violet!
Weren’t they supposed to be overseas? When did they get back?
Just as Isabelle was about to ask, the scene before her made her heart leap.
Besides them, there were also Caroline, Christian, Theodore, Louis, Regina…
They had all come.

Each of them held a delicate tulip. Smiles lit up their faces, and the air was filled with their joyful chatter.
Isabelle’s heart hammered wildly against her ribs. She had never felt such thrilling anticipation, as if she suddenly understood what was unfolding.
Was Damian… going to propose?
The corners of her mouth lifted into a smile that felt like sunshine, but for some reason, her nose prickled, and she couldn’t contain the joy bubbling up inside her.
“Go on, you’re not frozen, are you?” Sienna gave her a gentle nudge.
Isabelle bit her lip, trying to steady herself, but the thrilling rush within her kept surging, impossible to calm.
She took a deep breath and walked forward. April and Violet handed her their flowers, wrapping her in a warm, tight hug. “Be happy! We’re so happy for you!”
Clutching the flowers, Isabelle’s hands trembled slightly. A smile played on her lips even as tears welled in her eyes.
She continued walking ahead. The crowd in front parted, creating a pathway that led straight to the heart of the courtyard. Everyone stood lining both sides. With each step she took, someone else handed her another of her favorite blooms.
When she reached Caroline, Isabelle suddenly threw her arms around her mother.
“Mom…” The tears finally spilled over.

“Oh, sweetheart, no tears on such a happy night!” Regina said softly, carefully dabbing the moisture from the corner of Isabelle’s eye.
Isabelle slowly let go, quickly fixing her smudged makeup with her fingertips, and kept walking.
As she moved, she gathered the offered flowers into her arms until they formed a fragrant, colorful bundle.
In that moment, her mind held only him, only one thought–to reach Damian.
Warm white string lights were draped everywhere. A crackling fire pit burned in the center of the stone patio, with a whole lamb roasting on a spit above it. The perimeter was filled with the familiar, smiling faces of family and friends.
She kept receiving flowers until her arms were almost too full.
She finally stopped when she reached the center of the courtyard.
Isabelle looked at the man standing before her, holding a single, perfect tulip. She let out a tearful, breathless laugh.
“What is all this… I’m all sweaty, I didn’t even touch up my makeup, I must look a complete mess…” Isabelle mumbled, suddenly self–conscious.
Damian stepped forward, tenderly brushing a stray tear from her cheek with his thumb, and offered her his flower.
“You are the most beautiful sight to me, always. Happy birthday, Belie,” he said, his voice low and heartfelt.
Isabelle looked up at him, her eyes wide. It was her birthday. She had forgotten entirely, yet he had remembered.
The opening chords of “Happy Birthday” began to play, and soon the familiar melody filled the evening air.
Everyone joined in, clapping gently in time.
Damian cupped her face gently and placed a soft, lingering kiss on the corner of her mouth.
Isabelle didn’t feel shy anymore. She simply let the tears of pure happiness fall.

As the song ended, the crowd quieted, a hushed, expectant silence settling over them.
“Make a wish.” Damian whispered.
Isabelle nodded. Diana quickly stepped up to take the overflowing bouquet from her arms.
She closed her eyes, brought her clasped hands up to her lips, a serene smile on her face even as tears traced paths down her cheeks, silently making a wish known only to her
Sitting among the guests, Celeste watched the scene. A faint, genuine smile touched her lips -a smile of quiet, heartfelt recognition. It felt as if a knot within her had finally loosened, leaving behind a strange, solid calm.
Many in the crowd only learned in that moment that Christian was Isabelle’s grandfather.
That connection alone reshaped their perception of her standing. Never mind her own formidable talent; her lineage was impressive. Being with Damian was clearly a union of equals.
Celeste truly could not compare.
Sitting nearby, Maddox leaned back, one ankle resting on the opposite knee. Noticing the unguarded smile on Celeste’s face, a subtle curve touched his own lips.
His task for the evening had been to discreetly ensure Celeste didn’t cause any disruption. But it seemed, unexpectedly, that she had made her own peace with the situation.
