Chapter 330 Family Visit

“Are you all dressing me up just to hand me off to someone?” isabelle chrickled softly “You’re my own family, you know.”

Linda, standing nearby, smiled at the remark and quietly continued sipping her soup.

Caroline had maintained contact with Linda while overseas and occasionally crossed paths with Regina as well.

Naturally, Regina was also aware that Collin was Linda’s son.

Collin had been making his interest quite clear, both openly and subtly–Linda had noticed hints here and there but hadn’t been entire y certain of his intentions.

After breakfast, Regina took Isabelle upstairs to change.

Caroline invited Linda for a stroll in the back garden.

“What’s planted here?” Linda asked, looking curiously at the neat rows of green shoots.

‘These are tulip bulbs. Isabelle has loved flowers and gardening since she was a child,” Caroline explained with a fond smile. “I heard the bulbs were specially imported from Holland, and Damian planted them himself. They’ve hit a rough patch recently, but between husband and wife, the road is never completely smooth–there’s always some friction to work through.”

‘Damian is very thoughtful.” Linda nodded. “I only wish my own son were half as considerate.”

Caroline paused briefly. “Collin is actually a fine young man. I should introduce him to someone suitable one of these days.”

‘That’s a kind thought, but I’ve heard he already has his eye on someone.”

“He doesn’t seem to have many young women around him regularly, though–just Diana and Isabelle.”

Linda began to respond but suddenly stopped, as if a startling realization had just dawned on her.

She thought back over all the small moments from the past weeks and realized her son’s gaze toward Isabelle was different from the way he looked at Diana or anyone else.

So… the person he liked was Isabelle?

He’d mentioned once that the woman he cared for was close by, but that she didn’t return his feelings yet.

If that were truly the case, this was completely unacceptable!

Isabelle was already married and now expecting a child. No matter what Collin did or felt, it would be utterly inappropriate!

Linda froze for a moment–was Caroline subtly trying to point this out?

Caroline seemed to sense the shift in Linda’s expression. Knowing her fragile health, she chose not to press the matter further

Upstairs, Regina was browsing through the spacious walk in closet

“Damian bought you so many beautiful dresses – why don’t I see you wearing most of them? Do you not care for his taste?” Regina teased gently

Nearly the entire closet was filled with Isabelle’s dresses, with only a smail, separate section for her delicate lingerie. Just as Regina reached toward that section, Isabelle quickly moved to close the drawer, not letting her see inside.

if Regina discovered that her son had a particular fondness for seeing her in those delicate pieces, she would die of embarrassment!

‘Regina, there are so many dresses here–even wearing one each day, I couldn’t possibly get through them all in a year,” Isabelle said with a faint, flustered smile.

Noticing her reaction, Regina glanced at the closed drawer but didn’t open it. Instead, she turned her attention to selecting a dress rom the main racks.

Is there a special occasion today?” Isabelle couldn’t help asking.

Not exactly an occasion–just some friends have invited us for a floral arranging gathering. Since your studio hasn’t been too ectic lately, I thought you could come out and unwind with us.”

sabelle was only a little over a month along–hardly showing at all. If no one mentioned it, no one would guess she was expecting.

I see…” Isabelle looked at the dress in Regina’s hands and nodded in agreement.

What about this one?” She held it up, examining it closely.

sabelle glanced at it and remained silent, but the tips of her ears flushed pink immediately.

Damian had bought this dress.

When she had tried it on for him, he had wrapped his arms around her from behind, pulling her close, and whispered against her ar, “You know… keeping it on might feel even better.”

That night, she had ended up wearing the dress while his hands explored beneath the delicate fabric.

Noticing her flushed cheeks, Regina asked, “Is the air conditioning too low?”

No.” Isabelle shook her head slightly, forcing her thoughts back to the present.

‘Then wear this one–it’s absolutely lovely on you!”
