Damian untied the belt of his robe, turned his back to her, and let the garment slip down to hang loosely around his hips

Isabelle pressed her lips together.

His well–defined back muscles, marked with a few fading scars, held a kind of rugged beauty. The injuries on his back weren’t serious. It was the two punches to the mouth from Collin that had really landed hard.

Seeing that Isabelle remained silent, Damian pulled the robe back up and turned to face hés.

Isabelle was gently placed on the bed, and then the bedside lamp was switched off.
