Jason walked over to the floor to ceiling window to compose himself.
Lilly watched him. He had his hands in his pockets, pressing something down, and his handsome eyes were lowered. He exuded an air of refined indulgence that was enough to make anyone blush.
Lilly quickly looked away.
Once he had regained his composure, Jason said, “Come in.”
Kent entered the office. “Mr. Farill, the meeting is about to start. Mr. Graham from MagnaCorp has already arrived.”
Jason nodded. “Alright, I’m on my way.”
Kent left.
Jason walked back to Lilly. “You stay here and be good. If you’re not here when I get back, you’re dead. Got it?”
Lilly didn’t dare argue. She just nodded. “Got it.”
Then he was gone.
Lilly could tell the meeting was important, yet he had still taken the time to kiss her right before it.
She wasn't sure how she had ended up back in his office, but it seemed to have all started because she refused to take the pill.
A sweet feeling suddenly bloomed in her heart. Placing a hand on her flat stomach, she whispered, “Baby, that’s your daddy.”
The baby was still too small to respond.
Just then, another knock came at the door, and Kent walked in. “Lilly, my boss asked me to get you some snacks.”
Two female employees followed him in, placing several bowls of sweet and sour dried fruits and candies on the coffee table.
Kent smiled. “Lilly, see if you like any of these. The president said you’ve been craving sour things lately.”
He had even prepared snacks for her.
It would be a lie to say she wasn’t touched.
Lilly’s mouth was already watering at the sight of all the sour treats. She smiled. “Thank you, Kent.”
“Don’t mention it, Lilly. This was all the president’s idea. I feel like it’s been a while since I last saw you.”
