Looks like he really would have to practice some self-control.
On the way to Riverdale Children’s Hospital, Vivica found herself in an ambulance once again. The memory of being carted off to the hospital the day before suddenly triggered a thought.
“Oh, right. Can you use your connections with the traffic police to find those kind people who helped me yesterday?” she asked urgently, tugging on her husband’s sleeve.
Joseph looked at her and understood immediately. “You want to thank them?”
“Yes. If we can find them, I’d like to send each of them a gift and some money as a token of my gratitude,” Vivica said, vividly remembering the strangers who had rushed to her aid after the crash. She couldn’t let their kindness go unacknowledged.
“Alright, that’s simple enough. I’ll take care of it. You don’t need to worry about a thing.”
“Okay,” Vivica replied with a sweet smile, completely confident in his ability to handle it.
When they arrived at Riverdale Children’s Hospital, a room was already prepared for her. Vivica was wheeled directly to the ward on a gurney, where Sheridan, Melanie, and Chaim were waiting.
Seeing his mother lying on a hospital bed, Chaim ran over, his little lip trembling with worry. “What’s wrong with Mommy? Is Mommy sick, too?”
Joseph hadn’t seen his son in days. Seeing the little boy on the verge of tears, he quickly scooped him up and brought him to Vivica’s bedside. “Chaim, Mommy just hurt her forehead. She needs to rest in bed for a few days, but she’s okay,” he explained gently.
