The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 588

"Um, thank you," he muttered, bringing a fist to his mouth in a vain attempt to hide the color rushing to his cheeks.

Watching him, Vivica's smile only grew wider.

Quintina raised an eyebrow, immediately grabbing Vivica's arm to pull her up. "Come on, let's go chat. Mr. Baird can get all the boring medical advice from the director here, and I'll fill you in on the rest later."

That sounded perfect to Vivica, and she nodded eagerly as she stood.

"Um... I'm going to go catch up with Quintina. Call me when you're ready to leave."

"Alright." Joseph watched his wife walk out the door. Once she was gone, his expression relaxed completely, and he comfortably crossed one leg over the other.

Watching him look so entirely self-satisfied, Harvey felt that familiar wave of deep-seated envy wash over him again.

"Honestly, you should just do all your checkups with Dr. Christie from now on. Save me the monthly dose of pure jealousy," the director finally admitted.

Joseph chuckled, then furrowed his brow in genuine curiosity. "What's the deal with you and Quintina anyway?"

"What do you mean, 'what's the deal'?" Harvey played dumb.

"I mean, it feels like there's some real chemistry brewing between you two," the lawyer stated point-blank.

"Nonsense!" Harvey was incredibly quick to deny it. "What chemistry? If it weren't for you and your wife, I wouldn't even know her."

"You two seem pretty well-acquainted to me."

"We're colleagues. That's it."

Joseph uncrossed his legs, leaning forward slightly to study his friend with a serious gaze.

"Honestly, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if you two actually got to know each other. Vivica is dead set on setting her up with someone. She figures that since I'm such a brilliant, reliable catch, my friends must be top-tier as well. So—she wants to set you and Quintina up."
