The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 593

Sheridan, ever the meticulous one, chimed in to earnestly remind his son.

Joseph looked at his parents and promised, "Don't worry, I've already thought of all that. I originally had meetings this morning, but as soon as I found out she was having twins, I didn't waste a second. I delegated all my work and stayed right by her side."

"Mom, Dad, you don't need to be so nervous. Let's wait until I actually need the help. For now, everything stays the same. I mean... this isn't my first rodeo. I have experience, I can take care of myself."

Fearing she was about to lose her freedom to overprotective in-laws, Vivica quickly voiced her stance.

"You should stick to your normal work schedule for now," she told her husband, her eyes gentle yet firm. "I don't need you hovering over me every single day. That'll just make me anxious and stressed. I'll call you the moment I need you, but when I don't, you shouldn't feel obligated to stay glued to my side."

Joseph looked at her, understanding exactly what she was worried about.

Seeing her daughter-in-law's reaction, Melanie realized she had been coming on a bit too strong. She chuckled to smooth things over. "That's true, I keep forgetting you're already an experienced mother. Alright then, we won't hover and make you uncomfortable."

"Thanks, Mom."

Joseph also backed his wife up. "Alright, then I'll keep up with my work. I at least have to see the Chase brothers' case in Sydville City through to the end. After that, I'll take on fewer cases and try to spend more time with you. I'll make sure I'm always on call."

Vivica let out a quiet sigh of relief. "Perfect. That sounds like a great plan."

It wasn't until half a month later that Vivica finally mentioned the twins to Hillary over the phone.
