The Last Time I Cried Your Name novel Chapter 10

Petty held the VIP card she’d gotten from Amy and leaned in close to whisper with a playful smile, “You know, my double eyelids? I actually got them… before I was even born.”

Before birth…

So she was just born with them!

Amy’s face went through a whole range of expressions before she stomped her foot and glared. “Petty, you lied to me!”

“Thanks for the VIP card,” Petty called out, waving behind her without even looking back.

After leaving the TV station, Petty headed straight to the mall. She picked out an outfit that was both comfortable and perfect for a party. Instead of the mini skirt the salesgirl suggested, she chose skinny pants that hid the bruises on her thighs. She paired them with tall boots and switched up her makeup just enough to give herself a cool, bold vibe.

She drove over to JX Club, a spot where young people liked to party and let loose.

Just as she expected, security stopped her at the entrance. Petty rested one hand on the steering wheel and flashed the VIP card. “I’m here for Hassan’s birthday.”

Tonight was Hassan’s birthday, and he was throwing the party right here. Petty’s outfit said she was ready to celebrate, and that VIP card was all she needed. The guard waved her right in.

The further she went inside, the louder the music got, until it was pounding in her ears. Petty grabbed a drink from a waiter and pretended to sip while she scanned the crowd for Hassan.

Hassan was infamous in Cabinda—a real troublemaker with a head of bright red hair. He was impossible to miss.

As soon as Petty walked in, people started staring. Men and women both couldn’t help themselves. She didn’t usually dress up like this. Her figure was incredible, all curves and long legs, and those skinny pants and boots made her look even more striking. And her face… she turned heads wherever she went, which was why she always wore a mask during interviews. She hated being the center of attention.

A guy tried to chat her up, but Petty brushed him off with a polite smile. “Sorry, Hassan invited me.”

Once the guys heard she was Hassan’s guest, they all backed off.
