The Last Time I Cried Your Name novel Chapter 341

He told her to stay at Misty Vale for half a month. It was supposed to mean something, like she’d finally get the answers she wanted. But even though she’d left early, now that the two weeks had passed, absolutely nothing felt different. Not one single thing had changed.

He’d even gone back on his word with Hans. She couldn’t believe a thing he said anymore. She was done trusting him.

“So, since you clearly don’t keep your promises,” Franco said, setting his cup back on the coffee table, his arm sliding tighter around her as if this was just another normal day, “there’s nothing to talk about. I’ll just take you with me.”

Petty glared at him, eyes cold. “Do you not understand plain English?”

Franco didn’t bother to answer. He scooped her up and started carrying her toward the door. When he got there, he paused, grabbed her scarf off the hook, and without warning, draped it over her face, covering her mouth and eyes. She tried to pull the scarf down, but he already had control of her hands.

“I said I don’t want to go with you! Are you deaf?” Her words came out muffled under the scarf, thick with anger.

Inside the elevator, Franco looked down at her. Even through the thin fabric, he could see the beautiful lines of her face.

By the time they reached the car, he set her on his lap. The scarf slipped away, and she opened her eyes, meeting his cold, steady stare.

“Go find your precious Laura. And don’t you dare touch me with those filthy hands,” she shot back, voice sharp.

Without warning, Franco’s hand found the back of her head, pulling her closer. He bent down, pressing her cheek to his neck. His breath was uneven. “How many times do I have to say it? She’s not mine…”

“Not your Laura. Yeah, I got it. If you say she’s not yours, then whatever.” Petty shrugged like she couldn’t care less. “Whoever she belongs to, it isn’t my problem.”

Franco’s arms held her even tighter. “Petty.” His voice was low, almost a growl.

Petty pushed against him, struggling. “Let me out of this car. Right now. Did you hear me? I am not going to any creepy place with you!”

It didn’t matter what she said. The driver, one of Franco’s silent bodyguards, started the engine and pulled away.
