“They destroyed the cameras?”

Charlotte let out a soft laugh, her eyes icy. “Typical. Trashy people always use the lowest tricks.”

She grabbed her phone and called Adonis. “I need you to handle two things for me.”

Once she finished giving instructions, Charlotte led Stella to the last row in the conference center. As soon as they sat down, Stella noticed a lollipop, unwrapped and ready, being offered to her. She blinked in surprise, then took it with a smile and popped it into her mouth.

Charlotte having the time for candy even now could only mean one thing: she had everything under control.

Stella’s nerves began to calm down, the tension slowly fading from her body. All she wanted was for this mess to be over so they could clear Shirley’s name once and for all.

“So that’s everything,” Shirley said, explaining the whole incident with her phone to Patricia. “I honestly don’t know who took my phone. The last time I saw it, it had fallen on the floor.”

Patricia nodded, understanding the situation. She turned to the leaders and Hartley, her tone serious. “Check the security footage.”

The administrator stepped forward looking uncomfortable. “It’s... well, it’s really unfortunate, but the surveillance system had a malfunction. All the footage was damaged and can’t be viewed.”

Patricia gave a cold chuckle. “How convenient. Then get someone to fix it.”

The administrator looked even more nervous. “Someone’s working on it now, but the data is almost completely ruined. It’s almost impossible to recover.”

Pandora and Karan exchanged a quick glance, relaxing a little. No footage meant no evidence.
