The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1680

The staff member scrolled through the footage, everyone holding their breath as the video played. After a few tense minutes, the image on the big screen froze.

In that moment, all eyes locked on the screen, waiting.

The video showed Shirley getting bumped by someone in the hallway. Her bookbag slipped from her arms and hit the floor, sending her books—and her phone—spilling out. The culprit was a boy dressed in a black hoodie, wearing a mask and a cap, his face completely hidden.

He crouched down in a hurry, acting like he was helping Shirley gather her things. But under the watchful eye of the camera, it was obvious. In the middle of the chaos, he slipped Shirley’s phone into his sleeve, quick as a flash. Then he turned away and was gone.

People in the room started whispering. You could feel the confusion in the air. Was this all just a misunderstanding?

Patricia leaned toward Shirley and asked quietly, “Shirley, do you know this guy?”

Shirley watched the scene over and over. Finally, she shook her head, a frown knitting her brows. “No. I’ve never seen him before.”

“We double-checked with every department. He isn’t a student here at The Cabinda University.”

Cabinda was a huge city. Trying to find one person in all that… it was almost impossible.

He smirked, not backing down. “Until you find him, you can say whatever you want. But how are you going to explain this to all the students? What’s the public going to think of The Cabinda University?”

Patricia’s frown only deepened.

“I actually think he’s got a point,” Dorothy chimed in, a cold smile playing on her lips as she folded her arms. “They might be in it together. Otherwise, why else would he take her phone?”

Andrew shot Dorothy a glare. He couldn’t stomach arguing with her right now. What mattered most was finding the jerk who stole Shirley’s phone.

Meanwhile, Karan and Pandora shared satisfied, knowing looks. Shirley and Patricia were out of arguments. With no proof, if the school didn’t punish Shirley, there was no way to avoid a backlash. She was completely cornered.

Tension filled the air, thickening by the second.

Just as it felt like everything was about to explode, a sharp male voice called out from the entrance...
