The conference room.
Watching Charlotte follow Roger into the room, the entire staff's eyes widened in shock.
"Isn't that the princess of the Gates family, the wife of the CEO of The Blair Group—Charlotte?"
"And last year's Valedictorian, a musical genius, the medical prodigy Asclepius..."
One of the female colleagues was a massive fan of Charlotte and deeply admired her incredible talents.
In her sheer excitement, she practically ran out of breath trying to list all of her idol's titles.
"Why is my idol at the forensic lab?"
"She's trained in traditional medicine," another colleague whispered carefully. "Isn't it a bit weird for someone who saves the living to sit in on a forensics meeting?"
"I think it's weird too," a third colleague chimed in, keeping their voice low. "We're already under a massive time crunch. Throwing a guest into the mix is just going to waste more time."
"Maybe she's just curious and wants to learn."
"But this isn't a normal situation; we don't have time to waste. What is Dr. Gates thinking..."
Many of the staff members harbored doubts about Charlotte's sudden appearance.
Charlotte ignored the murmurs.
"Sit here," Roger instructed, leading Charlotte to his own seat. He thoughtfully grabbed a cushion and tucked it behind her back. "Is the height okay?"
Charlotte: "Perfect!"
The rest of the room was dumbfounded: "He's serving her now? Has Dr. Gates completely forgotten we have a job to do?"
"Sit tight. I'll go grab the rest of the files," Roger said, making sure she was settled before heading into the archive room.
"Okay," Charlotte replied casually, adjusting her posture so her babies would be more comfortable.
She couldn't help but pat herself on the back. She really was a great mom.
Veronica rushed into the conference room, her brow furrowing when she saw Charlotte casually flipping through the files at Roger's main seat.
Could she even understand what she was looking at?
