This was indeed the route to The Blair Estate.
Could it be that becoming a father had made him a softer person?
"What are you looking at?"
Anthony held a slice of orange to her lips, his voice soft.
"Nothing."
Charlotte offered a faint smile, chewing the sweet and sour fruit, too lazy to overthink it.
Whatever the old fox was plotting, once they reached the estate, if he dared to bully her...
She would complain to the elders.
She wasn't scared.
Half an hour later, the sports car arrived at The Blair Estate.
Having called ahead, Patricia, along with Matthew and Lavinia, were already waiting at the door.
"Great-grandma's darlings are here!"
Patricia leaned on her cane, looking at the two rosy-cheeked babies in the stroller. A deep, loving smile spread across her wrinkled face.
"Mom, be careful," Lavinia quickly supported the old lady, gently reminding her. "The babies are staying at the estate tonight. You can spend as much time with them as you want."
"?"
Hearing this, Charlotte instinctively looked toward Anthony.
Not going back?
Then how was she going to change her clothes?
"The wind is too strong out here. Hurry and bring the babies inside." Lavinia called the maids over, then looked at Charlotte beside her, smiling warmly. "Mom made all your favorites. We've been waiting for you."
"I..."
Charlotte opened her mouth to speak, but Anthony beat her to it. "Lottie just finished her shoot and hasn't had time to change. We're heading back to Imperial Heights first."
"?"
Hearing the man's words, realization slammed into Charlotte.
Just dropping the babies off at the estate?
No wonder he had agreed so readily!
She had been played by the old fox!
"Please take good care of the kids."
As his words fell, Anthony wrapped a gentle arm around his wife's waist. Leaning in close to her ear, he murmured softly, "Smile. I listened to you and brought the babies to the estate."
"..."
Charlotte glared at him fiercely, her eyes slightly red with frustration.
