Lance’s expression shifted. He turned to Carola. “Carola, is what Dr. Sloan saying true?”

Carola grit her teeth. “Lance! Don’t listen to her nonsense! She’s just trying to drive a wedge between us!”

Lance furrowed his brows, momentarily unsure of who to trust. On one side was the miracle doctor they had just met; on the other was the little sister he had doted on since childhood. Carola had always been well-behaved and sensible at home. How could she possibly lead a cyberbullying campaign against someone?

Lance appeared neutral, but internally, he was already leaning toward his sister. Leilani saw this and let out a scoff. She picked up her medical kit and turned to leave.

Lance instinctively wanted to go after her, but Carola grabbed his arm. “Lance! She’s a fraud! Don’t let her trick you!”

Felicity, sitting on the bed, slapped the mattress in frustration.
