The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 300

Tamara looked at Leilani with a sweet smile. "Leilani, please take a seat. The ceremony is about to begin."

Leilani gave her a meaningful look before strolling toward the guest seating.

Just as Tamara was feeling unsettled by that cryptic glance, Leilani comfortably took a seat among the guests.

However, the moment Leilani sat down, a shadow loomed over her. She looked up and met Clive's gloomy gaze.

As a family member of the bride today, Clive was wearing a sharp suit, looking every bit the gentleman.

Clive looked down at Leilani. Although he had a smile on his face, his voice sounded like it was squeezed out of his throat. His words were the complete opposite of the expression he wore. "Leilani, what are you doing here?"

Leilani took a slow sip of champagne, her tone indifferent. "Attending a wedding. Isn't that obvious?"

As a member of the Sloan family, Clive knew exactly what kind of relationship Leilani and Tamara had. Leilani's words were clearly mocking him. On any other day, he might have let it slide, but today was Tamara's most important day.

Clive frowned, dropping the pretense of a smile for a moment. He leaned in close to her, his voice threatening. "I'm warning you. Today is very important to Tamara. If you dare to start trouble on a day like this, I won't let you off easy."

Leilani laughed lightly and looked up to meet his eyes. "That's funny. Since when have you ever let me off easy?"

Hadn't they always used that rhetoric while doing things more heartless than anyone else?

Clive choked on his words, his face turning even uglier. "You! You're simply hopeless!"

Leilani couldn't be bothered to tangle with him anymore and looked away.
