Still... thinking about whatever surprise Clive had in store for her tonight, Winifred found herself anticipating it quite a bit.
She closed her files, stood up to grab her coat, and spoke nonchalantly to her assistant. "Check if I have any other appointments on the schedule for tonight. If there are, push them to tomorrow unless they're absolutely critical. I'm clocking out and heading home."
Her assistant nodded immediately. "Right away."
Half an hour later, Winifred arrived back at her private villa. The house was completely silent, without a single soul in sight. The lights throughout the building had been deliberately dimmed. As she walked upstairs, only the master bedroom emitted a warm, inviting glow.
Winifred pushed the door open, her footsteps pausing slightly.
Clive was half-reclining against the headboard, loosely draped in a black silk robe. It was entirely untied, leaving the sharp, defined lines of his abdominal muscles fully exposed.
Seeing her enter, he flashed a wicked smile and gently patted the empty space beside him. "Welcome home."
Winifred narrowed her eyes. She reached back to close the door, her high heels padding silently across the plush carpet as she approached. "Is this the 'surprise' you mentioned?"
Clive chuckled lowly. He reached out, grabbing her wrist and pulling her into his arms.
"What's the rush?" He leaned in and murmured against her ear, his breath scorching hot. "A surprise... only counts if you can feel it with your own hands."
Winifred raised an eyebrow. Her fingertips slipped inside his open robe, tracing downward until they brushed against something unexpected, causing her to freeze. Her eyes widened fractionally. "What is this...?"
Clive certainly knew how to play wild. Her astonishment was completely palpable.
Clive's smile deepened. He held her hand, boldly guiding her to explore further. His voice was thick with intoxicating raspiness. "I got this just for you. As a token of my gratitude. I went and got the implants done today. Well? Do you like it?"
As Winifred's fingers brushed against the cool, metallic texture, her breath hitched. Seven small, solid gold beads had been perfectly implanted, gleaming with a muted luster under the soft lighting.
