The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 579

Over the following week, Carola stayed true to her word and didn't attempt to contact Tamara. After all, Lance had scrubbed the contact information completely clean, and Carola wasn't exactly in the habit of memorizing phone numbers.

With her phone in hand, being grounded at home wasn't nearly as painful. Naturally, Carola also cast Tamara to the back of her mind as the days passed.

That was precisely why Carola was so surprised when she first received Tamara's call, almost failing to recognize her voice.

A flash of surprise crossed Tamara's eyes after hearing the whole story. It had been an entire month, and Lance was still keeping Carola under lock and key?

A thoughtful gleam flashed in Tamara's eyes, but her tone grew even more dramatic and concerned. "Oh my God! Why is your brother still keeping you locked up? That’s way too much!"

Bringing this up made Carola's blood boil all over again. "He said he's afraid I'll be manipulated by you again..."

She couldn’t understand what Leilani had done to make Lance trust her so completely, and Felicity was exactly the same. Wasn't she just a flashy, useless doctor? She also couldn't fathom why her grandmother trusted Leilani so deeply!

Hearing this, Tamara immediately began to cry, laying on the grievances thick. "Carola, do you not believe me anymore either? I don't know why Lance and Felicity would think of me that way. I clearly haven't done anything wrong."

Carola felt a sting of guilt in her heart. After Lance had said all those harsh things, she really had started to doubt Tamara. That was why she had stayed at home so obediently without causing a fuss to find Tamara. If this had been the past, she would have snuck out and run away from home the very second her room confinement was lifted.

"They only know how to listen to the lies of outsiders instead of believing me!"

Perhaps due to psychological suggestion, the more Carola talked about her miserable experiences during this time, the more wronged she felt, even bringing a dramatic sob into her voice.

Tamara frowned deeply on the other end. What kind of terrible, half-baked idea was Carola coming up with now? But despite her internal annoyance, Tamara's tone remained gentle and thoroughly concerned. "Carola, what do you mean by that? Are you asking me to rescue you from your house? Where are you locked up right now? Is it still the main Conner estate?"

"Yes! I'm staying in the innermost guest room on the second floor, you know the one."

The more Carola thought about it, the better the brilliant plan seemed. She hurriedly added, "Tamara, why don't you sneak over tonight and cover for me? My oldest brother just happened to go on a business trip. Once you get here, I'll sneak out the door, and you meet me outside in the getaway car!"

Once she escaped her luxurious prison, she'd love to see what Lance could do about it!

Tamara was practically rendered speechless by this absolutely ridiculous, childish plan.
