The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 724

The suite featured two spacious bedrooms situated across from one another, each with its own luxurious en-suite bathroom.

It was absolutely nothing like the shared-room scenario Callahan had just been implying.

Leilani instantly realized he had been stringing her along just to tease her.

A quiet amusement settled over her, mixed with a deep appreciation. She knew Callahan booking two separate rooms was his way of showing her the utmost respect.

If he'd wanted to, he easily could have booked a standard one-bedroom suite.

She pushed open the door to one of the bedrooms. It was massive, fully equipped with high-end amenities.

"Mhm, not bad."

Leilani nodded, deliberately keeping her face deadpan.

"Mr. Langley is certainly a man of his word."

Callahan shrugged off his suit jacket, tossing it casually over the arm of the sofa, and unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt. He let out a low chuckle.

"When it comes to Dr. Sloan, I always keep my promises."

Seeing that it was getting late, Callahan decided to spare her any further teasing.

He walked over and gently ruffled her hair.

"You must be exhausted after the flight."

"Go rest for a bit and shake off the jet lag."

"We'll head out for dinner later and get a feel for the neighborhood."

Leilani looked up at him. The warm, ambient lighting highlighted his tall, broad frame, and a quiet, undeniable sense of intimacy settled between them.

Thinking about how attentively he had taken care of her every need throughout the journey.

Leilani's voice softened entirely on its own.

"Okay."

Callahan's hand paused in her hair. Catching that subtle shift in her tone, the corner of his mouth curved into a faint, satisfied smile.

The two of them took some time to unwind.

Planning to head out the next day to purchase the gear.
