The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 84

On the other side, the Sloan brothers stormed straight to Celestial Heights.

At the main entrance, Clive stared gloomily at the glass window of the security booth, his eyes filled with rage. “I said, I am Leilani’s brother! Let me in!”

The security guard ignored him. He remembered Clive as the one who caused trouble for Leilani last time and was eventually thrown out by Callahan. Why did he come back today with another man instead of the girl from last time to cause a scene?

The guard remembered that because of him, the security team had been severely scolded by property management and docked two months’ wages.

The guard glanced at Clive expressionlessly. “Sorry, company policy. No entry without an appointment. Unless you get the resident to come out and escort you.”

Escort them? They had long been blocked by Leilani. Otherwise, why would they storm her residence to cause trouble?

The guard was touching a sore spot.

“You!” The veins on Clive’s forehead throbbed with anger. He was about to explode when Josiah grabbed his shoulder. “Calm down.”

Josiah frowned and turned to the guard, his tone reasonably polite. “We truly have urgent business with her. Can you make an exception?”

The guard shook his head. “No.”

Clive completely lost it. “She’s just a fresh ex-convict; where does she get off acting so high and mighty? Has your property management been scammed by her? She can’t possibly afford a house here!”

Just as he finished speaking, the property manager happened to pass by and, hearing the dispute, walked over.

“Gentlemen, this is a private residential area. Please do not cause a disturbance.”

Josiah suppressed his anger and asked in a low voice, “We just want to confirm if Leilani Sloan is home.”
