The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 85

In the office at the end of the corridor, Leilani stood by the window, tapping her fingers lightly on the desk, her gaze fixed on the medical report in her hand.

“The patient’s vitals have gradually stabilized. The cerebral hematoma has basically been absorbed, and neural responses are recovering. Aside from being unable to speak and some nutritional deficiency from lying down too long, there are no major issues.” She spoke calmly, handing the report to the middle-aged doctor opposite her.

This was Dr. Cheney, who had been Arnold’s attending physician before Leilani arrived in Zamora. He was also the one who had relayed the treatment tasks to her. From start to finish, the mysterious employer had never appeared.

Dr. Cheney took the report, reviewed it carefully, and his brow gradually relaxed. He looked at Leilani with admiration. “You really do live up to your reputation, Dr. L. With this level of injury, it would probably take us at least half a year to restore his consciousness.”

Leilani gave a faint “Mm” and continued, “The subsequent rehabilitation training needs to focus on strengthening his limb coordination and language functions. I have organized a detailed plan; you just need to execute it accordingly.”

She took a file from her bag and handed it to Dr. Cheney. He took it, flipped through a few pages, and a look of surprise flashed in his eyes.

“Such a detailed rehabilitation plan! Aren't you going to follow up, Dr. L?”

“My work here is done.” Leilani’s tone was calm, without a ripple. “You are fully capable of handling the rest.”

She had been in Zamora for a while and felt there was little point in staying since Dr. Cheney could follow the plan.
