Felicia held the baby, unable to resist cooing at him a little. "Looking at him like this, I think he looks more like Amber."

"Sons tend to look like their mothers," Wyatt said. "He's bound to take after her."

As if he understood the compliment, the baby opened his mouth and smiled again. Seeing his sweet smile, Felicia’s heart softened.

Sunlight streamed through the window, catching the side of her face and illuminating her hair with a soft glow. She looked as gentle as a painting.

"Look at this little guy," Felicia said to Amber. "He must love being complimented." As she spoke, her gaze accidentally met Max's, who was watching her intently. She froze for a second before subtly composing herself.

Amber replied, "He probably gets that from his father. Only likes to hear good things and can't stand criticism."

Wyatt protested helplessly. "How did this turn to me? When have I ever talked back when you're scolding me? I just have to stand there and take it like a good husband."

Felicia held the baby for a little while longer before preparing to put him down. "Let me hold him," Max said.

She glanced at him.

"You just stay still. I'll take him."

When Max took the baby, his movements were remarkably skilled and natural. He cradled the infant effortlessly with one arm while using his other hand to dangle a small toy for him. He looked every bit the part of a devoted family man.

It was undeniable.

He truly was an excellent father.

Suddenly, Anne spoke up. "Daddy, I want a baby brother too."

At her words, both Amber and Wyatt instinctively looked at Felicia. Anne’s comment had startled her as well.
