The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 770

Max lifted her out of the bed and carried her into the adjoining bedroom. He flipped on every switch, flooding the space with light until it was as bright as day.

Felicia wrapped her arms tightly around her knees, burying her face against her legs as she broke down into shuddering sobs.

Max sat on the edge of the bed and reached out to gently touch her shoulder. But the moment his fingers brushed against her, she snapped her head up and violently swatted his hand away. Her eyes were bloodshot as she glared at him. "Don't touch me!"

Max withdrew his hand. "Alright. I won't touch you," he agreed, his voice laced with quiet exhaustion.

However, Felicia's emotional state only spiraled further out of control. She practically screamed at him in a hysterical frenzy. "Max, what right do you have to humiliate me like this?! How have I ever offended you? Why do you get to do whatever you want? What right do you have to dictate my life? I want a divorce! Go be with Andrea! I want a divorce, do you hear me?!"

Max simply sat there, watching her in silence.

Suddenly, a wave of agonizing regret crashed over her, and she began frantically tearing at her own hair. "I regret everything. I never should have looked for you. I should have given birth to Anne all by myself. I never should have gone to find you."

Max leaned forward, gripping her wrists firmly in both hands to stop her from hurting herself. "Go get the doctor!" he barked at the door.

The maid stationed in the hallway immediately scurried off to fetch Dr. Harrison.

Felicia thrashed wildly against his grip, kicking her legs and screaming at the top of her lungs. "Let me go! Max, I hate you! I hate you!"

Driven by pure panic, she possessed an abnormal amount of strength. Max had to use his full weight to keep her pinned down. Watching her agonizing breakdown, he abruptly let go of one wrist, cupped the back of her head, and crushed his lips fiercely against hers.

Her muffled scream was instantly cut off. She kicked even harder, using her free hand to frantically shove against his shoulder. Slowly, however, the overwhelming lack of oxygen drained the energy from her flailing limbs.

Dr. Harrison rushed into the room but froze in his tracks at the doorway, stunned by the scene before him.
