The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 1282

"Investigate everything." Gian's voice was as cold as ice, his sharp gaze sweeping over the truck.

"Find out who owns the truck, check the driver's background. I want to know if this was an accident or a deliberate attack."

"Yes, sir." The assistant didn't dare hesitate, immediately pulling out his phone to make the arrangements.

Just then, the wail of approaching sirens cut through the air.

Standing by the side of the road, Danielle watched the crowd gather, the unease in her heart growing heavier.

Meanwhile, Alexander had just finished his work when he received a call from his assistant.

The moment he heard that Danielle's car had been rear-ended, his face changed dramatically.

He snatched his jacket from his chair and bolted out the door.

At the hospital, Danielle answered a call from Alexander.

"Hello?" Her voice was faintly hoarse.

After the terrifying ordeal, hearing his familiar voice on the other end of the line brought an unexpected sense of calm.

"How are you? Are you hurt anywhere?"

Danielle could hear the faint sound of traffic in the background, guessing he was on his way to the hospital.

She rubbed her tight temples and let out a small laugh.

"I'm fine, just shaken up. Not even a scratch."

"Don't rush," she added. "Drive safely."

"No, you need a full check-up," Alexander insisted.

"I've already had Calvin arrange for the best doctors. Wait for me at the hospital. I'm almost there."

After hanging up, Danielle shook her head with a helpless smile.

She looked up at Gian and Kirsten, who were standing by the door of the hospital room.

They stood shoulder to shoulder, their faces etched with concern.

Seeing her looking over, Kirsten was the first to approach.

She studied Danielle, then breathed a sigh of relief and handed her a glass of water from the table.
