Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 355

Julian actually listened for once. He shot her a quick look then turned away.

Because of the injury on her back, Madeline had been living in loose clothes lately, the kind you could slip off without much trouble. Even with Julian facing the other direction, he could still hear the faint rustle as she undressed.

After a minute of struggling with her shirt, Madeline finally spoke up. “Alright, I’m ready.”

Julian turned around and found her standing with her back to him. She hugged her clothes to her chest, making sure nothing showed from the front.

His eyes landed on her back. The white bandage stood out starkly against her skin. It looked so wrong there, like it didn’t belong.

Julian’s gaze grew darker.

When he just stood there, Madeline bit her lip and glanced over her shoulder. “Can you hurry up a little?”

“Yeah.”

Julian stepped closer and reached for the bandage. The moment his cool fingertips brushed Madeline’s skin, she shivered.

He looked up and saw her gripping the sink, head down, teeth pressed into her lip. His eyes went even darker.

Once the bandage was off, her wound was out in the open. Julian’s brows drew together sharply. He’d seen it before, but every time, anger bubbled up inside him and refused to go away.

He paused, then picked up some ointment and a cotton swab. He dipped the swab and carefully dabbed the medicine onto her wound.

Some spots had started to scab over, but the deeper parts still hurt when the ointment touched them.

“Ow.” Madeline squeezed her eyes shut and sucked in a breath.

Seeing her like that, Julian made his touch even more gentle.

Just then, Christian pushed open the door to the room.

He looked around, saw nobody there, and frowned at George. “What’s going on? There isn’t even a nurse in sight. Are they just—”

He was cut off by a low voice coming from the bathroom. “Does it hurt?”

“A bit,” Madeline answered.
