Finn answered her call and came downstairs to greet her in person.
He looked Silvia up and down, letting out a quiet sigh. “You just got your marriage certificate, and you’re already planning to come into the office?”
Even though the wedding ceremony hadn’t happened yet, they were newlyweds in every sense.
Shouldn’t Silvia be spending more time at home with Kent?
It was a marriage of convenience. If there was no real affection between them, Silvia’s life wouldn’t be easy.
“Yes,” Silvia nodded, a faint smile in her eyes. “I just can’t sit still at home.”
“So, which department are you thinking of joining? Design, maybe? That matches your background perfectly.”
At Finn’s question, a flicker crossed Silvia’s face.
Design was her passion.
She considered for a moment, then let a small smile lift the corners of her mouth. “Yes, that’s what I had in mind.”
But Silvia never intended to confine herself to the design team.
After all those years at Shipley, she’d picked up some serious business skills—it was about time she put them to use in her own family’s company.
With that in mind, Silvia added, “Besides design, I’d like to get involved with some of the company’s partnership projects.”
“Partnership projects?” Finn raised an eyebrow, studying her with an amused glint in his eye. “If you’re interested, I won’t stop you. Just… you might not know all the ins and outs of business negotiations yet. You’ll need to learn the ropes at first.”
“Of course.”
Silvia nodded. She had no intention of letting Finn know she was already well-versed in all that.
Seeing Silvia was determined to get involved, Finn couldn’t help but chuckle, a look of pride in his eyes.
He reached out and gently ruffled her hair, his gaze soft. “Don’t worry, Silvia. Stick with me and I’ll show you the way.”
Silvia nodded again.
Suddenly, Finn’s eyes lit up. “I’ve got it! There’s a joint project between Capital City and Luminova City that’s just started taking on partners. Since you just came back from Luminova, you must know the place inside out. How about taking this one on?”
