Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 2527

As the final word was delivered, Zhang Jue raised his arm and struck again.

"F*ck!" Darryl cursed and released the White Lily Cold Flame with a wave of his arm; it formed a white wall of flame around him.

The White Lily Cold Flame? Zhang Jue was alarmed; his expression darkened as he urged his internal energy to defend against the white flame. He could sense that Darryl had become stronger in the past three years, and the White Lily Cold Flame he summoned had increased in strength by folds.

Darryl seized the opportunity and ran forward; he grabbed Jackie before he ran out of the hall. "Zhang Jue, I will return soon to repay the favor," his angry voice resonated through the manor; it sent chills down the spines of those who heard it.

Zhang Jue, enraged beyond words, smashed one of the chairs next to him into smithereens before he yelled, "Go after them!" Many of the followers sprang into the air and soared toward the direction Darryl had fled.

Meanwhile, ahead of them, Darryl soared toward the sky with Jackie in his arms. It took more than an hour before they escaped the people that were after them. After he confirmed that they were safe, Darryl took a deep breath and landed in the forest beneath them.

"Darby!" Jackie said with gritted teeth, "Let me go; I don't need your help."

"My help?" Darryl stared at her beautiful face with rage and retorted coolly, "I just didn't want Zhang Jue to get what he wanted. I have not forgiven you for robbing me of my Seven Treasures Exquisite Pagoda three years ago."

Even amid anger, he felt drawn to Jackie's reddened cheek and enticing demeanor. He must admit that she was gorgeous, and there were probably countless men out there willing to throw themselves at her feet, but not him. He once thought that Jackie was his comrade who would fight alongside him for the sake of the Nine Mainland against the Raksasa Tribe, but something else happened instead. She captured him for her own benefit and took the Seven Treasures Exquisite Pagoda. That was enough for Darryl to hate her.

"You—" Jackie was enraged by his words, but she had nothing to say to that. The two fell into silence. The atmosphere almost suffocated them.

Darryl could not be bothered with her at the moment and sat on the side as he replayed every little detail of what he saw earlier. 'F*ck, I didn't know that Zhang Jue is a member of the Endless Sky Organization as well, and now that he has chased Jackie out, it will be more challenging to deal with him once he gains complete control over the Endless Sky Organization.'

"Argh!" Just as Darryl was deep in his thoughts, Jackie suddenly let out a pained cry next to him. Something about that sound contained a deadly temptation that sent a shock through Darryl's body.

"Jackie!" Darryl frowned and turned to look at her impatiently. "Jackie, don't try to argue your way out of this; I told you—" Before he could finish his sentence, he was immediately at a loss for words when he saw Jackie's state.

Jackie was curled up on her side on the grass. Her hypnotizing curves were outlined by the long dress she wore as she started to sweat profusely. Her alluring features were filled with pain and seduction at the same time.

"Huh? What is going on?" Darryl scowled and thought to himself, 'Wait, I think Zhang Jue mentioned something about Happy Powder right before we left.'

"Jackie, get a hold of yourself," Darryl said as he reached into the enchanted beast pouch to look for an elixir that could help snap her out of it. Suddenly, Jackie approached and leeched on him. Under the effect of the drug, Jackie had utterly lost any form of control over her actions.

'Sh*t!' Darryl cursed inwardly as he tried to pull away. Jackie's arms clamped onto him; she did not give him a chance to escape. Her face zoomed in as she slammed her lips onto Darryl's. She could not think of anything but the burning sensation that had spread through her body; she did not know what she had done.
