Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 2528

Darryl was stunned in place, and before he could react, Jackie had dragged him down onto the grass.

"Hey, Jackie, you need to snap out of it..." Darryl said.

Jackie could not hear a word under the influence of the drug. She held onto Darryl and began to tear at his clothes. After a while, she finally awoke and passed out after falling to the side next to where Darryl sat.

Despite the pleasant experience he had with her, Darryl was miserable and in pain from the hit he had taken from Zhang Jue in the manor. That had wounded him severely. He sat with his legs crossed and cultivated for a while before he sighed in relief at his progress. He was lucky he was not gravely wounded, and he had managed to recover quickly. Otherwise, he would be in trouble. Suddenly, Darryl sensed a menacing aura from behind him.

"Darryl Darby!" Jackie had awakened; her eyes were locked onto Darryl like a python on its prey. Her beautiful face was still red from anger and humiliation.

Such a powerful menace! Darryl felt awkward for a split second at her piercing glare, but he soon found his composure. He could sense that Jackie was far too weakened to be a threat. 'What happened just now was not my fault. She was the one who forced herself on me. Why do I have to feel awkward about that?' he thought.

"Darryl Darby, you b*stard." Jackie bit on her lips, and her eyes were deadly. "How dare you ruin my innocence! I am going to kill you!" Her expression was filled with embarrassment and rage as she spoke. It was an agony worse than death to accept that Darryl Darby had deflowered the Endless Sky Organization Sect Master, the community's well-known ice queen.

"Jackie!" Darryl smiled calmly as he sensed her rage and said, "I ruined your innocence? How ridiculous! You were the one who took the initiative; I did not force myself on you. Besides, Zhang Jue was the one that drugged you. You should go after him if you want revenge."

Darryl's eyes wandered toward Jackie's body as he spoke. 'I got to say, with a body and a face like that, Jackie truly is a goddess. What happened earlier felt amazing! I will remember that for the rest of my life,' he thought.

"Why you—" Jackie's face reddened further as she struggled to find a way to retort. Her teeth sunk into her lower lip so hard that it almost bled. 'Darryl Darby, you b*stard! How could you stand there and speak as if it's none of your business when you have taken advantage of me!' she thought.

The mere thought of sharing her body with Darryl had Jackie drowning in humiliation and rage, and no matter how hard she tried, she could not find a way to accept the fact that it had happened. Jackie glared at Darryl with such intense hatred that the temperature seemed to drop around them. Then she said, "Darryl Darby, you have ruined my life. I'm going to kill you! Die!" With the last word shouted with determination, she stood up and struck Darryl.

Darryl shook his head speechlessly; he knew that Jackie's attack would not be a threat to him at all. He stepped aside and dodged her palm with ease before he said calmly, "Jackie, stop messing around. You should be venting your anger on Zhang Jue. That man is a despicable back-stabbing snake. What makes you think that it's a good idea to ally with him? Just give up and help me deal with him."

"Shut up!" Jackie growled and attempted yet another strike. Zhang Jue might be despicable, but he was not the man who defiled her innocence, and for that, she was determined to kill Darryl right there and then.

Darryl could not be more annoyed at Jackie's frustration. He did not think that it was his fault, but he was the man who took her innocence. It would have been cruel for him to fight back in that situation.

"Jackie, you want to get even? Let's talk about what happened three years ago then, shall we? You took my Seven Treasures Exquisite Pagoda and left me to die in that cave. Don't you think it's about time for you to give it back?" Darryl yelled as he continued to dodge Jackie's attack.

"Never!"
