Everyone rose to an uproar when Zoey supported Darryl.
Was the Jade Sect Master confused? Darryl had only spoken nonsense without any concrete evidence; how could they trust him?
Weston was particularly restless; he quickly stood up to persuade Zoey. "Zoey, please don't believe him."
The other people echoed the same sentiment.
"That's right. There had been a rumor that Darryl had sullied Chang Er, but it hasn't been clarified yet. Who knows what he has up his sleeves right now."
"There are so many of us here. Even if there's a problem, we can solve it together."
Weston walked toward Zoey with a sincere expression. "Zoey, I think that Darryl just wants to slip away. He hasn't produced evidence to prove that the eight ladies are the real Nine Saint Oracles, and he had allowed them to leave. He must be making up a reason to flee."
While he spoke, Weston glanced at Darryl contemptuously.
Zoey was the goddess he admired. How could he let her go with Darryl?
Many of those people also nodded to Weston's statement.
"Yes, Darryl is giving us false warnings. He must be planning something!"
"We can't let him fool us!"
Darryl became angry.
'F*ck! I reminded all of you kindly, but you did not appreciate it. Forget it and do as you wish!'
Darryl shot Weston a cold look. "I have already made my message very clear. It's up to you whether you believe it or not, but when something bad happens, don't come to me crying and begging for me to save you."
'What?'
Everyone was taken aback by the stern warning, but it did not last long. They sneered at him after that.
Weston exclaimed, "Okay! Darryl, stop putting up a show. We are not fools!"
Darryl did not bother to pay attention to Weston. He turned and walked toward the nearby hillside. Zoey hesitated for a moment before she went with Darryl.
