Darryl felt helpless. He nodded half-heartedly and walked out of the cave, sat down cross-legged, and started to meditate.
He was quite upset.
Quincy had called off their engagement and announced it to the world. Then, she began to doubt his every decision and action. Uh…
Darryl could not be bothered about that. He closed his eyes and rested his mind.
Sometime later, the freezing temperature woke Darryl.
Inside the cave, Quincy had also begun to meditate and recuperate.
On the other hand, Zoey was curious. She continued to question Darryl, who was outside the cave. "Darryl, is the valley down there really dangerous?"
As the Jade Sect Master, Zoey knew a little bit about some strange skills and techniques, but she could not see any problems with those big trees.
"You have to trust me!" Darryl responded with a smile.
He chuckled inwardly.
Quincy sneered and said mockingly, "Alright, Darryl. You can stop fooling around. You deliberately misled everyone; what is your motive?"
Quincy still did not believe in Darryl; she thought that he was an alarmist.
"I—"
Darryl opened his mouth, but he did not know how to respond. He was speechless.
Whoa!
Suddenly, they heard chaos from the valley down below.
'Sure enough, I was right!'
Darryl quickly stood up and looked in the direction of the valley; he was stunned.
Quincy and Zoey also hurriedly walked out of the cave. Their bodies trembled when they saw what had happened.
A patch of black mist rose from the valley. Many black shadows shuttled around in the fog, and the sect masters were fighting those black shadows fiercely.
