Grady's heart trembled. 'Did Maverick say he and his men almost died in Darryl's hands?'
'How's that live-in son-in-law so capable and powerful?'
Darryl was a little impatient. "Have you decided yet?"
"I'll write a note. I'll write—" Grady had a sour look on his face; he kept nodding his head like a chicken pecking a worm.
Grady was reluctant to agree to Darryl's condition.
However, he had no other choice; Darryl had even subdued Maverick.
Darryl smiled after Grady gave his promise. Then, Darryl told Maverick's men to bring paper and a pen.
Shortly after that, Grady wrote the note. Darryl scanned through the note and saw no problem, so he kept the note and turned to leave.
Olena and her subordinates were waiting for Darryl at the foot of the mountain. Lolita had not regained consciousness.
"It was a tough day! You all have worked hard!"
When Darryl got to the foot of the mountain, he smiled at Olena. "You all should go back and take a good rest!"
Mmm!
Olena nodded and left with her subordinates.
Lolita was slowly waking up as soon as Olena and her subordinates left.
"Darryl!"
The moment she opened her eyes, Lolita saw Darryl standing in front of her with a smile. She jumped. "Why are you here?"
Lolita looked around and found that she was at the foot of a barren mountain on the city's outskirts. She recalled that she had been kidnapped.
After she snapped back into her senses, Lolita wanted to question Darryl. Then, she saw several figures walking down the mountain.
They were Maverick and his subordinates.
Huh!
