Teddy was very annoyed.
"What else can we do? Take the platform down and strengthen the defenses in Storm City,” he said in a huff.
His prisoner was rescued and he was embarrassed. The execution platform was useless.
"Yes, Your Excellency!” The soldier retreated and within a short time, the platform was torn down.
…
Meanwhile, Bonnie slowly landed on the ground in the woods dozens of miles northwest of Storm City with Yuri.
"Bonnie, thank you! I thought you were trapped in the chaotic vortex. I’m glad you’re fine,” Yuri said the moment she landed, feeling at ease.
She thought she was going to die, but little did she know, Bonnie would appear just in time to save her. Although it was not Darryl who saved her, she was saved nonetheless.
Yuri was grateful, but Bonnie was not appreciative of her gratitude at all.
“What now? Do you really want me to be trapped in the chaotic vortex? Without me, you can be with Darryl, right?” Bonnie said coldly.
Bonnie thought of Darryl and could not help being furious.
Back on the sky-high peak of Kunlun in The Nine Continent, Bonnie would have never been drawn into the chaotic vortex had Darryl not pulled her all of a sudden. A few days ago in Pearl City, Bonnie thought she could force Darryl to submit to her, but the useless people in Pearl City let Darryl get away unexpectedly.
"I..." Yuri bit her lip lightly. “Bonnie, don’t do this. Why are you so against Darryl? He’s very nice.”
"Haha! You like him! So, of course, you’d say that he’s nice." Bonnie smiled contemptuously.
The more Yuri said something nice about Darryl, the more disgusted Bonnie felt. Suddenly, Yuri blushed, feeling shy and made her look charming.
In the next second, she thought of something and quickly asked Bonnie, “By the way, do you have any news on Darryl?”
