However, Cullen clenched his teeth tightly, still unable to set aside his pride. ‘I may be considered the best bounty hunter in the Bounty Alliance, but I was ordered to apologize to this guy? How can I show my face after this?’
Darryl’s patience was running thin and he sighed. “Well, since you don’t want to apologize, then forget it. Madeline, you saw me give him a chance, but he’s refused to take it.”
He stretched out his hand and patted the dragon’s head as he pretended to say, “Dragon, you’ve been hungry for so long. Why don’t you just eat his man and fill your tummy?”
Roar!
After Darryl spoke, the dragon let out a roar and swooped down towards Cullen.
Cullen collapsed instantly as his legs became weak, and he slumped down on the ground, shouting, "No, Darryl! I was wrong. Please help me plead for mercy; don't let the dragon eat me! I was a bastard before this. I was inhuman. I shouldn't have treated you like that. Would you forgive me?"
Cullen was horrified when he said that to Darryl. He almost peed himself. He never wanted to be so timid, but there was no other way out. The dragon was so powerful and he knew he was no match for the dragon. He felt somber as he pleaded to Darryl.
‘F*ck! Darryl made me lose face in front of my cousin. One day, if he falls captive in my hands, I won’t let him off,’ he thought.
Darryl heard Cullen begging and cracked a faint smile before he made the dragon stop. Even Madeline was shocked.
“Darryl! Why is this dragon so obedient to you?” she asked.
"I told you I can communicate with it, didn't I?" Darryl said with a smile.
