After watching the two of them walking away, Darryl took a deep breath and turned to the dragon. "You go on and find a new home. Remember that you can no longer do evil and harm mankind."
Darryl thought about returning to Storm City with the dragon, but when he was reminded of how big it was, he gave up that idea in order to avoid causing a panic amongst the citizens.
"Yes, Master!" the dragon replied respectfully and flew away.
Darryl took a deep breath after watching the dragon disappear into the sky. Then, he turned and headed in the direction of Storm City.
Half an hour later, he arrived at Storm City. Having been trapped in the underground cave for nearly ten hours, Darryl was a little tired. After entering the city, he found a tavern to take a rest before looking for Teddy.
It was noon, and there were a lot of people in the tavern. As soon as Darryl sat down, he heard guests on the next table discussing the fake Goddess of Light.
"Have you heard? The fake Goddess of Light was rescued."
“I was there yesterday. The person who went onto the execution platform was also a woman and she was very powerful."
"Yes, I saw it too. The woman on the execution platform was beautiful, but she looked fierce.”
Darryl was stunned when he heard what the guests were saying. ‘Damn it! It turns out Teddy didn’t lie to me; Yuri was rescued.’
He smiled bitterly to himself, still in shock. ‘So, I’ve misunderstood Teddy. I’ve lost my mind because I wanted to see Yuri so badly.’
Afterward, Darryl sat there calmly and continued to listen to the guests’ discussion at the next table. Based on their descriptions of the rescuer, Darryl could determine very quickly that it was Bonnie who had rescued Yuri.
