Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3404

Darryl was stunned, and his heart started to thump wildly against his chest. He wished she was only joking. Even though the royal family in the Roland Continent was not as strict as those in the Nine Mainland, Angeline was still a princess. She was the Queen's sister, after all.

Darryl shook his head. "Anything but that." That would be the end of the road for him if the Queen found out he had taken Angeline out of the palace. Besides, he had only just gained the Queen's trust.

Angeline's face turned red with rage. "You have no choice! If you don't do as I said, I will go to the Queen now and tell her you've gone into her room without her permission and even molested me."

"I—" Darryl felt like crying. He felt like Angeline was willing to stop at nothing to get what she wanted. "Fine, just this once," he said with a nod and a bitter smile. There were a thousand and one reasons why Darryl was unwilling to bring her out of the palace, but those reasons were nothing compared to Angeline's unreasonableness.

"Yes!" Angeline was overjoyed. "Wait for me here. I'll go change my clothes," she said and quickly walked out of the room. Soon, she was back and dressed in a guard's uniform, and the two of them left the palace together.

A few minutes later, they arrived on the streets. The weather was good, and many people were walking around. It was very lively.

Everybody kept their distance from Angeline and Darryl because they were afraid to offend the royal guards. Angeline did not like that. She dragged Darryl into a clothing shop, and they changed into something more casual. However, due to Angeline's exquisite features and sexy body, even an ordinary long dress could not disguise her posh demeanor.

Even with such a beauty standing before him, Darryl was in no mood to admire her. After strolling about for an hour or so, he finally said, "I think we should go back now."

Angeline wanted to stay longer, and so she shook her head. "You can go back by yourself. I want to stay for a little bit longer." That might be her only chance of ever being outside.

Darryl became dispirited when he heard that. He was still trying to think about how to persuade her to go back to the palace when they suddenly heard someone ask, "Are you Princess Angeline?"

The two of them turned around and were greeted by a fancy young man and his bodyguards. Dennis Reeves, the son of the capital's garrison's commander-in-chief, made his way toward them. He was delighted to see them.

"Yes, you're Princess Angeline! What are you doing here?" he asked while staring at her. As the son of the garrison's commander-in-chief, Dennis had seen the Queen and Angeline when he was at the palace.

Angeline put one finger to her red lips and said softly, "Be quiet! I sneaked out of the palace without my sister's knowledge." Then, she looked around her surroundings.

Dennis nodded and said, "I understand, Princess Angeline. Don't worry. I'll keep this a secret from Her Majesty." His gaze was fixed on Angeline as if Darryl did not exist at all. Why would he when Darryl was nothing but a guard?

Darryl frowned. They should head back soon since Angeline's cover was blown.

"Princess, we really should go back now," he said.

"Can't you stop being so annoying?" Angeline snapped at him.
