Bonne swept her eyes across the city again before making her next announcement. “I trust that no one would object to this now? All you city guards listen to me; send a message to all the other mayors to come and see the Goddess of Light within twenty-four hours.”
She finally smiled after that, for she believed the twelve paladins would soon appear once the news spread about the Goddess of Light.
“Yes!” chorused the city guards fearfully.
Soon, all the mayors had received the shocking news of the Goddess of Light’s appearance in Pearl City and, along with it, Seth’s death. At the same time, the Temple of Lights also received the news and sent out the twelve paladins to conduct an investigation.
Half a day later, while Bonnie and Yuri were both meditating at Seth’s manor, they suddenly saw twelve golden figures coming towards them from a distance up in the sky. Each of them emitted a powerful aura. The 12 paladins had arrived.
Sensing the powerful aura, Bonnie immediately stood up, the excitement showing on her exquisite face. “They’ve come faster than I expected!”
Then turning to Yuri, she said, “It’s showtime, Yuri!”
Yuri nodded and reminded her, “Bonnie, please don’t hurt anyone anymore.”
With that, standing on tiptoes, she then pushed herself up to the sky to greet the twelve paladins.
The twelve paladins’ eyes locked onto Yuri.
