The last time she impersonated the Goddess of Light, a war broke out and many people lost their homes because of that. Yuri was a very kind-hearted girl and she had regretted her actions ever since, so there was no way she was going to make the same mistake again.
Bonnie was not mad at all. It was as if she had predicted Yuri would reject her. “Fine with me. I guess you’ll never know where Darryl is then.”
“You…” Yuri stomped her feet in frustration. Then, after struggling with the idea, she finally nodded. “Fine, I’ll do it, but this will be the last time.”
Bonnie nodded and the two of them immediately made their way to Pearl City. Ten minutes later, they were standing in the sky above the city. It was noon and many people were milling about in the lively streets. In no time at all, someone noticed them.
“Look up at the sky! There are people up there,” cried someone.
Instantly, everyone looked up and stared at them with their mouths agape. The sight of the two girls in long dresses and exquisite features seemed to be a scene taken right out of a fairytale. They were truly a sight for sore eyes.
“They’re gorgeous!”
“Are they Goddesses visiting the mortal realm?” cried the crowds in shock.
The ruckus had attracted the attention of the city mayor, Seth.
“Dear beautiful lady, to what do we owe the pleasure of your presence?” asked Seth respectfully after taking one look at Bonnie.
Seth had instantly recognized Bonnie from the time she got into a fight with Darryl after he was wrongly accused of murdering the Damien family’s patriarch, thus becoming the number one criminal in Pearl City.
His eyes scanned Bonnie and Yuri, each more beautiful than the other, and wondered what the relationship between them was.
