Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3439

Marshall’s hands were all over Madame Pandora. Her face was flushed red as she let out a low moan. She then gently pushed him away and said, “Calm down, Your Excellency. Have you forgotten that I have a terminal illness and that you shouldn’t touch me?”

He grudgingly released her from his embrace. “D*mmit. It’s a shame your beauty is only for the eyes and not for other parts of the body.”

Madame Pandora was so overcome by grief from her husband’s passing from the battle that she ingested some poison in the hopes that she could reunite with him in the afterworld. However, to her surprise, she discovered she possessed a unique body composition that made her immune to the poison. She did not die that day, but the poison would forever remain in her body.

Not long after that, Marquis Vernon Celtic came into power and wanted Madame Pandora for himself, so he ordered his underling to bring Madame Pandora to his manor. However, the underling decided to try her out before his master but died as soon as he touched Madame Pandora. When Vernon found out, he immediately gave up the idea of making Madame Pandora his.

Marshall was well aware of all the events that happened. Therefore, he would never go overboard with her, no matter how beautiful he found her to be. Nothing was more important than staying alive. Darryl was shocked by their conversation. He never knew Madame Pandora to be untouchable.

After releasing her from his embrace, Marshall took out an emerald bug from his pocket and said, “This is a brain-eating worm. Once ingested, the person will be driven into insanity. Feed it to him later.”

Madame Pandora nearly jumped back from shock. “Your Excellency, you should grant him a quick death if you want him gone. Why make him eat such a disgusting thing?”

“This is a precaution. He’s highly regarded by the Queen and she would surely conduct a serious investigation should he die in your manor. There’s no need for us to take that risk,” explained Marshall with a sinister smirk on his face.

He then took a deep breath before continuing, “Besides, the Queen already suffered once Vernon revolted, so if one of her trusted subordinates were found to be insane and to cause trouble in the palace, I could take the opportunity to ingratiate myself to her. Who knows? I might even be King one day and you, my loyal subordinate.”

Madame Pandora simply nodded at this while her heart beat wildly against her chest. As for Darryl, he was incensed. ‘So he’s not only after me. He wants to replace the Queen just like Vernon! Trust that sly old fox to come up with a plan like this.’

Marshall passed the brain-eating worm to Madame Pandora and left the room. The following silence was so loud that it was all they could hear.

Darryl cracked open his eyes a little again and saw Madame Pandora standing there with a lost expression on her face. She was obviously struggling to make a decision.

“Darren, please forgive me. I don’t really want to hurt you, but I have no choice,” she muttered as she neared him.

Up till that moment, she still had not noticed Darryl was only pretending to be unconscious. Suddenly, Darryl shot up and knocked the brain-eating worm out of her hand just as she was about to put it in his mouth. Then, he quickly pressed her acupoint before she could react. She was rendered motionless instantly.

“When…when did you wake up?” asked Madame Pandora in shock. Her shock doubled when she realized she could not move at all.

Darryl smiled. “I’m sorry for disappointing you, Madame Pandora. You must have wished for me to sleep forever.”

He then carried her to the couch, not forgetting to check her out at the same time. There was no denying she was indeed gorgeous. At the thought of her plotting against him with Marshall, he was overcome with the idea of teaching her a lesson.

“Let me go! What are you going to do to me?!” said Madame Pandora, panicking and red in the face.
