Darryl smiled pervertedly and asked, “Well, there’s only two of us in this room. That alone should let you know what I want to do to you.”
He had a lustful glint in his eyes as he said this.
“You…!” Madame Pandora became deeply uncomfortable under his gaze.
“Stop staring at me like that and get away from me!” she shouted angrily, her face becoming even redder.
Darryl furrowed his eyebrows. ‘So it was all right for her to plot against him with Marshall but not for him to take revenge? Where was the logic in all this?’
Looking at Madame Pandora again, he felt a raging fire in the deepest pit of his belly. This fire nearly made him lose all reason. He could not care less anymore and pounced on Madame Pandora.
“How dare you, Darren! I…” Madame Pandora started to panic and kept on screaming.
She tried very hard to get away from him, but she could not, for her acupoints had been pressed. Before she could react, Darryl’s lip were on hers. All her strength left her body in that instant and soon, she knew she had completely lost.
Meanwhile, under the lead of the 12 paladins, Bonnie and Yuri finally arrived at the island where the Temple of Lights was. Both of their hands were tied up tightly under Bonnie’s instructions. They did this in the hopes that the Goddess of Light would lower her guard at them.
Once onshore, they saw a majestic building and Bonnie was filled with indescribable excitement. How could she not when she was about to meet the highest spiritual living symbol of the entire Roland Continent — the Goddess of Light herself?
“Bonnie, what do you plan to do? Why do we need to have our hands tied up to see the Goddess of Light?” asked Yuri in a low voice.
Bonnie smiled and answered, “You’ve impersonated her twice and this is a way for us to show our sincerity in repenting now that we’re on her territory. I want to ask her some questions. We came from the chaotic vortex and sooner or later will go back to The Nine Continent and she, being the pinnacle of the world, must know how we can get out of here.”
Her last sentence was said with a serious face, but she could not disguise the mischievous glint in her eyes.
Her real goal was to replace the Goddess of Light and rule over the Temple of Light. However, there was no way she would tell Yuri all this for she would definitely stop her if she knew.
“Alright,” said Yuri with a nod. They were speaking in low whispers, so the 12 paladins in front of them could not hear what they were talking about.
Soon, after passing through the square in front of the temple, they saw many powerful paladins lined up neatly at the entrance. Anyone faced with this would surely feel frightened but not Bonnie and Yuri; the two of them remained calm and collected. After a few minutes, they finally entered the temple and were greeted with the sight of a beautiful figure sitting on a throne. She was wearing a golden robe that vividly enhanced the lines of her graceful body in a way that did not take away from her impressive majesty. Yes, she was none other than the Goddess of Light, Yalena.
Yalena, too, was quietly sizing them up from her throne and the entire temple was instantly thrown into an oppressive and tense atmosphere.
