Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3441

"Goddess!" the Golden Lion said reverently, breaking the atmosphere as he stepped forward. "This is the person who impersonated you and her comrade." He pointed at Bonnie and Yuri as he said that.

Yalena locked her gaze on Yuri. "Why did you impersonate me?" she asked in a gentle and majestic voice. She was shocked by what she saw before her. That woman, Yuri, was not only gorgeous, but she also had unique energy which she had never come across before. She could not even ascertain whether she was a human or a fairy.

Yuri bit her lips and answered, "Impersonating you was one of the promises I've made with the Day Rise Principality so that they would have an excuse to start a war." She did not think there was a need to keep that hidden.

Yalena nodded, acknowledging her honesty. Then, she cocked her head to the 12 paladins when she finally realized something was amiss. "Golden Lion, what happened to you?" She discovered their faces were pale, and their bodies were weak.

The Golden Lion's face filled with shame, and he smiled bitterly. "We're sorry to say we've sustained some injuries when we were captured by those two women here. However, rest assured that we'll be fine in no time."

The other 11 paladins nodded in agreement. The less the Goddess knew, the better it was for them. They would never recover from the shame if they found out the enemy had poisoned them. Besides, on their way there, Bonnie had promised she only wanted to ask the Goddess some questions, and if anything should happen, the Goddess could suppress the two of them easily.

'What? Those two women injured the 12 paladins?' Yalena thought as she looked at the other paladins outside of the temple in shock. How was that possible when each of them was the best fighter, and they were nothing less than invincible? Only a handful of people in the whole of the Roland Continent were their match, but the two women injured them? Impossible!

However, after giving it some thought, it made sense. The two women would not have impersonated the Goddess of Light if they were ordinary people.

Yalena recovered her composure and said, "You've all done well. At ease now."

"Yes!" the paladins chorused.

Then, Yalena turned her attention back to Yuri. "I can understand your reason for impersonating me the first time. However, now that the war has ended, why do you feel the need to impersonate me the second time?" Her voice was low and oppressive.

Yuri bit her lips again. She became embarrassed at not knowing how to answer that question. She glanced at Bonnie, implying that she should explain since she was the one who came up with the idea.

Bonnie took a step forward and half-smiled at Yalena. "I was the one who asked her to impersonate you the second time."

"Why?" Yalena asked with a frown.

Bonnie got straight to the point. "Let me be honest here. We're not from around here, and by that, I mean we came from another world. I knew I had to meet you once I heard of your omniscient existence."

Yalena was undoubtedly shocked at Bonnie's revelation.
