Lolita was miserable; she had lost control over the Damien family and lost her freedom. What disappointed her even more was that she would be forced to marry the b*stard, Grady in a few days.
‘How could this happen to me? What did I do wrong? Why is God punishing me?’
The more Lolita thought about it, the more depressed she became. At the same time, Darryl appeared in her mind. ‘If Darren was here, would he help me?’
Lolita shook her head and dismissed the thought. ‘Darren killed my grandfather. Why am I thinking about him?’
Suddenly, mischievous laughter came from outside the door. Then, Grady appeared on the window sill with a triumphant look on his face.
“What are you doing here? Get out!” cried Lolita in disgust as she trembled with rage. ‘This b*stard! He’s the reason I’m so miserable.’
Grady was not panicked when he noticed how angry Lolita was.
“Tsk, tsk! Lolita, you’re so fierce even under such circumstances. Let’s face it, after the Holy Light Ceremony, I’ll be holding a grand wedding to marry you,” said Grady with a smile.
Lolita's face turned red in a rage. "You can dream on. I won't marry you even if I die."
Grady cracked a faint smile and jokingly said, "It’s not up to you if we marry or not. By the way, I came to visit you today to tell you something. Your second uncle has agreed to transfer several Damien family properties to me."
He had a wicked glint in his eyes as he said that. Grady knew Lolita appeared weak and delicate, but she had a strong personality. To deal with such a strong-willed woman, he had to attack her willpower and wane her determination to subdue her.
‘What?’ Lolita jolted in shock and felt her brain buzzing. She was infuriated. Donnie was unreliable. As the Clan Head, how could he give away the family business? Then again, Lolita knew Grady was the mastermind.
