He quickly rushed over and was shocked at the scene that greeted him. There were two groups in a battle, and one of the groups was made up of almost a hundred men dressed in black—they seemed fierce.
Darryl could sense that the men-in-blacks were very powerful; they were at least at Saint Honor level. The other group had about ten guards trying to protect the unicorn cars and the maids surrounding a trembling beautiful woman.
The woman's face was truly gorgeous, and she possessed an equally ravishing figure. The combined effect made her appearance very pleasing to the eye. Who else could that be but Madame Pandora?
She must have run into the men-in-blacks while on a trip with her family. However, Darryl could not help but furrow his brows in confusion. 'What is Madame Pandora doing at the Golden Lion Principality's border? And what's up with the entourage?"
His confusion was not unfounded—why would the only woman in the whole of the Golden Principality to enjoy the title of a Marquis come to a godforsaken backwater place like that? Therefore, he thought it would be better to hide and observe from a distance.
The guards seemed to have been backed into the corner by the men-in-black. Madame Pandora's exquisite face began to fill with fear, anger, and panic.
Suddenly, the leader of the men-in-black laughed loudly and said, "Madame Pandora, I advise you to surrender now. Your men are no match for mine!" The leader was Harper Eland, and he was a low-ranked Saint Emperor.
Madame Pandora bit her lips and asked her men to fall back. The guards immediately shot back from where they were and encircled Madame Pandora.
Harper nodded, pleased by her cooperation. "You live up to your name, Madame Pandora." Then, he gestured for his men to stop.
Madame Pandora was unhappy with his treatment but forced herself to remain expressionless. "Who are you, and why do you block my way?"
Harper chuckled and said, "Don't worry, Madame. We won't hurt you as long as you hand over something of yours."
"What do you want?" Madame Pandora asked without hesitation.
Harper chuckled again and said, "The second half of the Holy Jade Scripture."
At the mention of the Holy Jade Scripture, Madame Pandora lost her cool, and Darryl felt shocked as he stared fixedly at Madame Pandora.
'Was she the one who took the Holy Jade Scripture from the Thousand Variations Box?'
