Madame Pandora was also looking at the map. "That red dot appears to be on Mount Rochsor." Then, she looked at the hole in the wall and asked, "Could there be treasures inside?"
"I don't think they would go through all that effort for some ordinary treasures. There must be a huge secret behind that wall," Darryl said calmly as he walked forward to the entrance to investigate. He discovered that the rock formation, though strong, was covered in a layer of dust. It was apparent it had been there for a long time.
"Come on, let's go inside!" Darryl said and walked in without hesitation. The rock formation was a simple five elements formation and posed no problem for him. Madame Pandora quickly followed him from behind.
After a few seconds, they found themselves in a long tunnel, so long it felt as if it would bring them straight to the core of the earth. After a few moments, they entered a spacious private room measuring about two basketball courts, and all along the walls were other tunnel entrances.
Darryl involuntarily gulped as he felt his mind buzz. Madame Pandora was shocked too. "This place is like a maze!"
Darryl did not comment on that. Instead, he took a good look around and proceeded to enter it after deciding on a tunnel. However, he suddenly stopped after taking a few steps.
"Why did you stop?" Madame Pandora asked in a panic tone.
Darryl waved his hand, signaling her to keep quiet while he fixed his gaze to the ground. The passage in front of them was paved with square rocks, and the color of each of those rocks was different—some were dark, and some were light.
Not only that, Darryl noticed that there were some finger-sized holes lined up on both sides of the walls at the bend around the corner. It must be some kind of mechanism.
He took a deep breath and said, "Looks like this place is more dangerous than we thought. You step where I step, alright? Please don't make a mistake."
He knew that the tunnel was filled with booby traps and was flowing with some kind of bizarre energy fluctuation. It gave him the same panic feeling he had when he crashed into the Soul Offering Road in the Nine Mainland.
The bizarre energy was suppressing the internal energy in his elixir field, and under those conditions, it would be nearly impossible for him to fly with Madame Pandora. Therefore, he had no choice but to go through the booby traps.
"Yes, alright," Madame Pandora said with a nod. She was also panicking. She did not dare to go against his order. She followed him closely from behind and stepped where he stepped.
Just when they were about to clear the booby trap, Madame Pandora made a tiny mistake due to her sudden panic. Darryl was shocked. He turned back quickly and tried to rectify the mistake, but it was already too late.
The next moment, they heard the creaking sound of gears, and the ground beneath their feet began to shake. Soon, they saw streaming lights appearing from the circular holes, aiming straight at them. Each of the lights was a burning arrow soaked in oil. The sight of the million burning arrows was truly a shocking sight to behold.
