Many of the Flying Feather Alliance members broke out in cold sweat. The enchantment barrier of that place contained powerful energy, and the condensed energy was comparable to a bolt of real lightning. One hit from it would surely cripple or even kill anyone. Darryl was frowning, and his eyes were filled with respect for Peacock Lilibet. She might have looked fragile, but she was definitely courageous.
The entire mountain top was already shrouded in lightning, but Peacock Lilibet effortlessly floated between them. She stopped at the mountain top and then quickly made her way back. Within a few seconds, she was already back at the stone castle, and she had an Echeveria peacockii in her hands. It was apparent the lightning had not struck her at all; there was not a wound on her body.
The Flying Feathers Alliance members erupted in a loud cheer, and even the White Tiger King and the other Beast Alliance members were nodding their heads in admiration.
"Way to go, Peacock Lilibet! You were so fast!"
"Yeah, you have given a new meaning to the word fast!"
Peacock Lilibet smiled coldly. She turned to look at Darryl and, in a haughty tone, said, "It's your turn now. You can surrender now if you don't think you can beat me, but of course, you'll need to get down on your knees and offer me a drink."
Her face was calm when she said that, but there was undisguised hatred in her eyes. She would never forgive him for the late Red Sparrow Queen's death. Humiliating him did not even touch the tip of the iceberg of her hatred for him.
All eyes were on Darryl, who was frowning. He did not know whether to laugh or cry. He did not understand why she was so hellbent on wanting him to make a fool out of himself. However, it did not take him long to figure out she must hate him for causing the Red Sparrow Queen's death. She was, after all, the late Queen's most loyal subordinate.
He smiled at Peacock Lilibet and said, "Why would I surrender when I've already accepted the challenge?" He stretched his body and said, "By the way, you'll have to get down on your knees and offer me a drink if I win."
He really admired Peacock Lilibet, but that competition concerned his pride. There was no way he would surrender just like that. Peacock Lilibet's face darkened when she heard his reply, and there was also a hint of anger in her eyes. She could not believe how cocky he was.
The Flying Feathers Alliance could not believe it too.
"He's really confident."
"I bet he can't really do it."
"Yeah! Even the White Tiger King isn't that confident in his flying ability. What can a mere human do? He should not overestimate himself!"
Tiger Ben was frowning and panicking. He quickly walked toward Darryl, pulled him aside, and said, "Your Excellency, I'd advise you to surrender. I'll put in some good words for you. Maybe you won't need to get down on your knees but just need to pour her a glass of wine."
His expression was solemn when he said that. Peacock Lilibet could effortlessly dodge the lightning and pick the Echeveria peacockii because she possessed excellent flying ability. How could a human like Darryl ever compete with her natural-born talent?
