The crowd began to whisper amongst themselves when they heard that.
"Yeah, what's there to be happy about if he did not have any Echeveria peacockii with him."
"After all that, I thought he was amazing, but in the end, he still lost."
"He should quickly prostrate himself to Peacock Lilibet and offer her a drink."
Peacock Lilibet snapped out of her shock and smeared haughtily. "You've lost. Now let's make good on the bet." Her voice was not loud, but it was filled with disdain.
Darryl smiled and asked, "Who said I don't have any Echeveria peacockii with me?" Then, he took out the Echeveria peacockii from his enchanted beast pouch and casually threw them onto the ground.
Dozens of Echeveria peacockii were scattered on the ground. Each one was bigger and better than the ones Peacock Lilibet had collected.
The entire stone castle went deadly quiet, so quiet they could hear a needle drop. Everyone from the Beast Alliance and Flying Feathers Alliance was dumbfounded.
Someone gulped and muttered to himself, "My goodness, he dodged all the lightning and managed to pick so many in such a short timeframe."
That sentence was like a fuse that blew the whole scene. The comments from everyone came fast and furious like a tsunami.
"How did he do it?"
"Yeah! How can a human win in a flying contest against Peacock Lilibet?"
They still had no idea that Darryl had the Power of Bird Ancestor, making Peacock Lilibet's flying capabilities incomparable to his even though he was only a human.
Peacock Lilibet's entire body trembled, and she was staring blankly at Darryl. No words could describe the shock she was feeling in her heart. 'No way! He's a human. How can he be faster than me? He could not have gotten so many Echeveria peacockii in such a short time!'
"Now then, you've lost, so it's time for you to make good on your bet," Darryl said with a smile as he slowly walked toward her.
Suddenly, all eyes were on Peacock Lilibet. She bit her lip, and her face had turned as red as a tomato from humiliation. She was furious! Her plan had backfired entirely.
"Peacock Lilibet, one must be willing to accept defeat when one is willing to bet. Therefore, you should uphold your part of the bet and quickly kneel before His Excellency Darryl with a drink in your hand," the White Tiger King said with an air of indifference. To him, the contest was to liven up the banquet's atmosphere. It did not matter to him who won or lost, let Peacock Lilibet's pride.
"I—" Peacock Lilibet was still trembling, and every inch of her body was screaming in resistance. There was no way she would kneel before the man who indirectly killed the Red Sparrow Queen.
