However, Skylar was much stronger than Neil, so there was no hope of winning against him. At that thought, Neil fell into instant despair. He thought about telling Chester everything, but it was too late. He had already stolen the ghost token, and his girlfriend's life was still in Skylar's.
Meanwhile, back at the Carter family's manor, it was nearly dawn. The atmosphere in the Dax's room was gloomy. His breathing was weaker, and his face was paler than before. Nancy was guarding beside him, and her eyes were swollen with all the crying she did. She had been there since he was brought into the room a few hours ago. She was emotionally and physically tired but was determined to pull through. She kept on praying for Dax to wake up. They had been married for many years and had gone through many ups and downs together. Her heart was about to break seeing Dax like that.
Suddenly, the door creaked open, and Debra walked into the room. There was panic in her face, but she held the jade vial in her hand. She passed it to Nancy and said, "Quick, let Dax drink this."
Nancy took the jade vial from her hand and opened it up. A jolt coursed through her body when she saw the vial was filled with blood. "Debra, is this blood?" she asked in shock, not understanding why Debra would give that to Dax.
Debra exhaled softly, bit her lip, and said, "This blood can save Dax."
Nancy was shocked, but soon her shock turned into happiness. She and Debra had a good relationship. She knew that Debra would not lie to her. Without giving it more thought, she fed Dax the blood. Very quickly, color returned to Dax's face.
Seeing that, Nancy became ecstatic. She gripped Debra's hands tightly and asked, "Debra, what blood is that? Where did you get it from?"
Chester, Yvette, and the others had failed to drive out the power that was wrecking Dax's body. Even Darryl could not do anything, so it was nothing short of a miracle that Debra managed to get her hand on that blood.
Debra forced a smile. "That is Skylar's blood. His cultivation method is a little unique, and only his blood can save Dax."
'What?' Nancy shuddered with shock. "You went to find Skylar?"
She felt touched and other complex feelings. Skylar might be righteous and evil, but he was mainly evil. Yet, Debra still took the risk to get the antidote for Dax.
She slowly snapped out of her shock and said, "Did you know Darryl is back? He went to the Heavenly Alliance to seek help from Rogart when he saw Dax's situation."
'Darryl's back?' Debra's heart skipped a beat. She smiled and said, "That's great! I'm so happy to know he's back safe and sound."
Then, she looked downward. She took out a letter and passed it to Nancy. "I'm going out, Nancy. Can you please pass this letter to Darryl?"
"Going out? Where?" Nancy asked incredulously.
