Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3830

Dax was Darryl's sworn brother, so why should Skylar save him without a good reason? He would not soften his heart even when Debra had already agreed to his terms. The plan he came up with was very insidious. On the surface, Dax would look fine once he had taken the blood with the Soul-devouring Bloodworm, but he would be under Skylar's control.

"Oh, thank you, thank you!" Overjoyed, Debra quickly stood up and took the jade vial from his hand. Then she opened it and saw that it was filled with blood, giving off a metallic odor. It must have been freshly extracted from Skylar's veins.

"I'll bring that back right away!" Debra said and turned to leave.

Skylar quickly followed her from behind. "I'll see you out," he said with a smile.

"Debra, remember what you've promised me," Skylar said once they were outside the hotel. He was indescribably happy.

Debra bit her lip tightly and said, "Don't worry. I'm a woman of my words. I'll come back as soon as I've delivered the jade vial."

Her tone was calm, but her heart was bleeding. Then, she turned to leave.

"Very well then," Skylar said with a nod. He stared at her as she left. He was about to return to his room once she disappeared into the night when someone called out to him.

"Your Excellency," a handsome young man said from afar. His chiseled face was filled with fatigue and dismal. It was Neil Wilson.

Skylar stopped smiling and said coldly, "Oh, it's you. Did you get it?"

Three days ago, Skylar forcibly fed the Soul-devouring Bloodworm to Neil and his girlfriend, and then ordered him to steal the ghost token for him. It was the reason Skylar remained in Mid City.

"Yes." Neil took out a black-colored token and passed it to Skylar. The token seemed to be made of a material similar to jade and was emitting a cold aura. It was none other than the ghost token.

A smile broke out of Skylar's face as he took the ghost token. "Well done. I was right to choose you for the task," he said. Then he waved his hand dismissively and said, "You can leave now."

However, Neil remained standing there as if he had no intention to leave. After some hesitation, he finally said, "Your Excellency, I've already given you the ghost token, so can you please give me the antidote?"

He was feeling extremely frustrated with himself. How could he, the Eternal Life Palace Sect's young master, be someone else's puppet? That was very humiliating for him! He needed to get himself out of that situation quickly!

'Antidote?' Skylar turned around to face him and smirked at him. "I see that you still haven't grasped the situation fully. You're now my subordinate and will do my bidding forever. As for the Soul-devouring Bloodworm, I've already told you that it's impossible to drive it out of your body once it has integrated with your essence. This is the end of the matter. Go back and wait for my next instruction. I promise that I won't treat you too badly as long as you serve me loyally."

Then, he strode back to the hotel.

'Sh*t! Is this what my life is going to be like from now on? No! It can't be!' Neil thought with bloodshot eyes, clenching both of his fists tightly.
