Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3853

Everyone's gaze landed on Darryl. Agatha even frowned and looked towards Darryl in doubt, muttering to herself. 'Was Skylar right? Has Darryl and the Elysium Gates already joined the Heavenly Alliance? Was that why he refused me when I proposed an alliance with him?'

In that instant, Rogart also looked at Darryl with a conflicted expression on his face, waiting to see how he would respond. Against the stares of the crowd, Darryl knitted his eyebrows together and his anger rose inside him. 'D*mn Skylar, that’s a d*ck move. It was like he wanted to pick a fight with me.'

"We, the Elysium Gates, have always believed in doing things for the betterment of the world. We have never participated in these meaningless disputes nor have we allied with the Heavenly Alliance," he said.

Satisfied with his answer, Agatha let out a sigh of relief and her expression was much better than before. Luckily Darryl had no relationship with the Heavenly Alliance. Otherwise, she would have had another rival.

Skylar chuckled. "If you’re not with the Heavenly Alliance, then why do you meddle in our business?"

"I just don’t want to see both sides die horribly. That would destroy people’s lives," Darryl said coldly.

Skylar sneered at him, "You're so pretentious. Who knows what you have in mind. As I see it, you’re just looking to gain something from this. Now that the Heavenly Alliance and the Hidden Hero Sect have suffered casualties, you appear out of nowhere. It really makes people think about what you’re up to, doesn’t it?"

He had a grim look on his face as he spoke. Skylar hoped The Nine Mainland would erupt into chaos, so when Darryl showed up to ease the tension, Skylar was pissed. He had to do whatever he could to drag Darryl into the mire.

At the same time, Rogart was also frowning at them not far away. He had his eyes on Darryl and he looked unhappy as well. 'D*mn Darryl. How could he say that he has nothing to do with the Heavenly Alliance?'

Facing Skylar’s nonsense, Darryl grew tired and glared at Skylar. "Skylar, I’m not going to beat around the bush with you. Where’s Debra?"

Truthfully, with all the eyes around them, Darryl initially did not want to ask that question, but when he thought of her, his heart ached and was filled with guilt. He could not help but blurt out the question. He had finally come back after three years, yet he had not properly reunited with Debra. Now Debra was following Skylar just to save Dax. If that were how he lost Debra, Darryl would be unhappy for the rest of his life.

Skylar froze and then sneered, "Who’s Debra, Darryl? I don’t know what you’re talking about."

Darryl took a deep breath and enunciated, "Stop acting. When you mortally injured Dax, Debra followed you to save him. Where is she now?"

As he asked, Darryl held back his twitching fist.

Skylar felt Darryl’s anger and mocked him, "You’re really interesting, Darryl. Your woman disappeared, so you've come looking for me? So what you’re saying is, if anyone loses their woman, they must have all followed me? It’s not like I have a shelter for women who run away."

A sly look flashed in Skylar's eyes as he had been hoping for this. He was deliberately acting dumb to provoke Darryl. Only when Darryl was provoked could the scene before him break out into mayhem.

Boom! cunning

In an instant, the disciples of the Hidden Hero Sect started laughing as they all glanced at Darryl with teasing eyes.
