At that point in time, Darryl had decided that the bead was the treasure left behind by Janson. The machine that he mentioned previously was to divert Lord Kenny's attention.
'Machinery?' Lord Kenny was shocked to hear that and immediately looked around the Hall of Fame. As he searched, he threatened Darryl. “If you want to live, then help me look for the machine.”
It sounded like Lord Kenny had planned to take Darryl’s life, but as long as he had not placed hands on the treasures, he could still use Darryl for his knowledge and skills in formations.
Darryl nodded and pretended to search for the machine along with Lord Kenny. Secretly, he waved his hand at the door to hint to Yvette to get the bead. Upon receiving Darryl’s cue, Yvette barged into the Hall of Fame without delay.
Lord Kenny Bred heard a sound and quickly turned around, but it was too late. He watched as Yvette got hold of the bead in the blink of an eye. He realized what was happening and glared at Darryl. “How dare you fool me?”
Seeing Yvette, he guessed Darryl only pretended to tell her to leave. As a matter of fact, she had followed behind quietly. What made him even angriermore angry was how Yvette snatched the bead away.
Darryl scoffed.
Yvette smiled as she mocked Lord Kenny, "Your cunningness is no match for Darryl's intelligence. The bead is the treasure we were looking for. It's too bad, you didn't have your eye on it!"
Then, she activated her internal energy and crushed the bead following Darryl's cue. In a split second, a dazzling ray of red light burst out and merged into Yvette's body. She felt incredible power filling her limbs and bones. She was overjoyed.
Darryl grinned and asked out of concern, “Yvette, how are you feeling?”
As a matter of fact, he was not certain that the bead was the treasure left behind by Janson, but he had to ask Yvette to snatch the bead as he realized that there was no machine in the empty room.
Yvette realized Darryl was concerned and smiled. “I’m fine. The bead is indeed the treasure we were looking for and it contains great powers…”
As she spoke, she started scowling, her face turned red, and she looked tormented. Immediately, her body started shaking. The energy contained in the bead was too intense and Yvette’s weak body was overwhelmed. She felt like she was being placed above a burner and heat was filling her body. At the same time, the energy was violently colliding within her meridians.
Sh*t! Darryl started to panic. If he had known early, he would not have let Yvette crush the bead and take in the energy.
“How dare you take my treasure! I’ll kill both of you!” Suddenly, Lord Kenny growled and charged towards Yvette like a cannonball.
Darryl was caught by surprise and tried to stop him. However, his fairy soul was still being oppressed by the energy of the ancient tomb and he could not perform at all.
In the blink of an eye, Lord Kenny stood before Yvette and attacked her with his palm. Then, a glaring blaze burst out of her body, resulting in a great anti-shock. He could not react in time and was thrown to the ground. He fell about a hundred meters away to the ground and spat out blood.
'D*mn it. Why did that happen?' he thought.
